Background: According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District.

Summary: The Student Excellence Foundation has donated gifts to District 200 for the benefit of the students and staff of the District in the amount of $79,085 for the following grant cycles: Fall 2016, Spring 2018, Fall 2018, and Spring 2018/FY2019 Fund A Classroom campaigns and District Initiatives. A complete list of the items which were funded by generous contributions from donors is attached to this report. By donating these items, the Student Excellence Foundation transfers ownership of the items and relinquishes to District 200 the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
