Background:
Fixed assets no longer needed for District purposes should be declared surplus by the Board of Education prior to their disposal.

Summary:
We currently own 40 student desks and chairs at Sandburg Elementary School that are no longer needed for District purposes. The common trend is moving from desks to tables, and therefore, we have an excess of desks and chairs.

Pending Board approval for disposal, we plan to sell, donate or scrap these pieces of equipment.
